Public Hearing with Treasury Dept. on Foreclosure Prevention Programs (Cincinnati, OH)

On June 15, over 200 people attended a public hearing with Sarah Apsel, Policy Advisor at the US Treasury Department. The meeting, hosted by WIN and partner organization the WIN Action Organizing Project (WINAOP), is designed to solicit public comments regarding the effectiveness of the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP).
HAMP was initiated by the Obama administration in response to the burgeoning foreclosure crisis. This is one of 10 Treasury Department hearings being held across the country and the only hearing in Ohio.
WIN Action Organizing Project (WINAOP), an Affiliate of National People's Action, works to empower people to make informed choices for themselves and their neighborhoods through community building, home ownership, and economic learning.
